The November 6th General Election is approaching fast. Of course we all know that this is an important election from the Presidential race to the sheriff’s election. For the first time in nearly 40 years, Atascosa County will have a new Sheriff bringing changes to the department. I feel very confident that I have the experience, qualifications, commitment and the vision to be your Sheriff and assure that the Atascosa County Sheriff’s Office is the best it can be. As sheriff, I will strive to make the necessary adjustments and changes in policies and procedures to successfully lead the sheriff’s office into the ever-changing time we currently live in. With the rapid growth in our county, it’s essential that public safety be at the utmost professional level and the protection of our citizens be a top priority. At the same time I will continue the “small town” open door policy and treat the public fairly with a focus to make Atascosa County a safe place to live and raise a family.
If you’re a registered voter, you should have received your new yellow voter’s registration card. If you haven’t, maybe due to an address change, you can call the Election Administration Office at 830-769-1472 or go by in person at 914 Main Street in Jourdanton to inquire about your voter’s registration status. If you are not currently registered, you have until October 6th to get registered in order to vote in the General Election.
If I, or my campaign, can be of any assistance or if you have any questions, please feel free to call me at 830-570-7798. I’m sincerely asking for your vote and support for Sheriff in the November 6th General Election.

I humbly ask for your vote in the upcoming Republican Primary. With your help we can progress into the 21st century with a professionally operated sheriff’s office that all citizens of this county can be proud of.
We all know how important our right to vote is and that there will be several very important elections this coming year, beginning with the Presidential race on down to the local level. For the first time in nearly 40 years, Atascosa County will have a new County Sheriff. The responsibilities of this office and the ever increasing work load and changes in the law, are something that we all need to keep in mind in selecting a new sheriff. The sheriff must possess the proper education, experience, qualifications and the ability and desire to represent all citizens of the county and properly enforce our laws. With this in mind, I would like to encourage all eligible voters to cast their vote in the 2012 elections. I am running for sheriff on the Republican ticket and I would sincerely like to ask for your vote and support.
My office door has always been open for everyone and I will continue this practice as your Sheriff. If you would like to speak with me, you may contact me at 830-570-7798 or at 830-769-2755 or by email at Davidsowardcampaign@yahoo.com or at Laparita1997@aol.com.
